Citizens on Patrol

Citizen Volunteer Units are utilized throughout the county to assist the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department in meeting law enforcement objectives during the normal course of operation as well as times of disasters and emergencies.

One of the tasks performed by our SAH-Mt. Baldy Citizens on Patrol group is to check on homes of people who are away – either on vacation or on a personal/business trip.

When on patrol, members will stop by the home, walk around it, and verify that all is okay. If there is a problem, the COP members will either contact whoever is identified on the form or whatever other assistance is needed.

To simplify the request process, a fill and click file has been created for residents to complete online. Please fill out the form and fax it to (909) 920-0204 or drop it off at the box located on the COP garage door behind Fire Station #12 (24th and Euclid).
